This is a great project. Common Cloud Records and the Carrefour Collective are releasing a series of limited edition 7″ splits to benefit aspiring Haitian musicians who’s passions and dreams have been put on hold due to the devastating effects of the massive earthquake.
The first release includes a hand-screened & number art print, unique packaging, and a limited pressing of 300. All proceeds go towards purchasing instruments for the Holy Trinity School of Music.
Includes one track by Ragged Claws and a B-side by Mike Noyce. (Bon Iver)
Order it now, the records shipped out today!
We’re really excited about the new Japanther record – Rock ‘n’ Roll Ice Cream.
They have been getting lots of great well-deserved press for this release. We’ll be seeing them live at SXSW. Enough already, go buy the album direct from the artist.
This Moment in Black History and Sun God play a lot of shows.
SNAX/Smog Veil Records are putting this out.
Love supporting the local Cleveland scene!
Released by Evil Weevil Records
Intoitoverit and Bob Nanna are both great bands from Chicago.
I was really happy when we talked to the Black Swans about pressing their new album. Not only do they create beautiful music, but are Columbus locals. (two of us are located here)
“Words Are Stupid” comes out on limited LP/digital via St. Ives/ Secretly Canadian on 4/27.
Great
Mayfly Records are a fantastic label from Mansfield, OH. Most of their releases fall into the punk, hardcore, metal genres, but are all focused on progressive social, political, and musical ideas.
It’s a pleasure working with them because they love doing crazy stuff with vinyl. This was for Cedar Falls, Iowa based The Former Thieves. They are touring everywhere, go see them live and pick up some exclusive tour vinyl.
We are really proud of our brand and get questions about it all of the time.
We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with Logan Walters, a kick-ass designer from Michigan.
You might know him from his Wu-Tang Design Remix Project.
Also, we are insanely proud of our beautiful factory tour film by Nick Cavalier. We met Nick via our friends in Chelsea Automatic. He directed their Conquerer John video.
We can’t recommend his work highly enough. Incredibly professional to work with and really understands how to market a brand. He’s building his agency and is capable of some extraordinary work. http://vimeo.com/9541267
UPDATE: We were featured on Notcot
Trouble Books are from Akron, OH. They list their influences as “Czech hardcore from around 1933” If that doesn’t make you want to listen to their sweet new Green vinyl, I don’t know what will. Check out more info and tour dates on their MySpace. You can buy their record from Bark & Hiss Records.
